Dark Synth-Pop / Cinematic Electronic
Blackout Hearts is a five-track cinematic electronic EP exploring love, loss and digital memory in Annwra's dystopian electric city. Blending emotional dark synth-pop, atmospheric electronic ballads and haunting vocals, the release follows a relationship slowly disappearing through blackouts, corrupted messages and failing technology. As the city begins to erase its own memories, Annwra discovers that the person she is desperately trying to remember may never have existed in the way she believed.
Stream this release**Some hearts stop beating. Others simply lose their signal.** Following the dark industrial energy of Neon Rituals, Annwra returns with Blackout Hearts, a deeply emotional chapter in her unfolding cyber-folklore universe. The city is experiencing increasingly severe blackouts. Communications fail without warning, private messages change after being sent, and entire conversations disappear from digital records. Against this backdrop, Annwra searches for someone she remembers loving, someone whose voice she can still hear, but whose existence is gradually being erased. The opening title track introduces a relationship caught between emotional connection and technological collapse. Love Me Before the Signal Dies captures the desperate intimacy of two people attempting to hold on to each other as the city's communication systems begin to fail. Your Ghost Is Still Online explores digital grief, corrupted memories and the strange feeling of discovering fragments of someone who is no longer there. We Were Better in the Dark looks backwards, questioning whether the relationship was ever as real as Annwra remembers. The closing track, Delete Me Slowly, transforms heartbreak into something more disturbing. As the final memories disappear, a hidden system identifies an unauthorised memory construct, and another force begins tracking its signal. Across five tracks, Blackout Hearts combines melancholic synthesizers, intimate electronic vocals, darkwave atmospheres and cinematic production. It is a story about love in a world where memories can be rewritten, identities can be manufactured and even grief may have been programmed. And as the final transmission fades, something begins hunting what remains.
